Choose a lab from our catalog of 100+ labs, and learn at your own pace as you walk through scenarios step-by-step. Lab topic levels range from introductory to expert and take approximately 30–60 minutes to complete. Registration is not required. Walk-ins are welcome.

Spotlight Labs

In spotlight labs, an AWS instructor guides you step-by-step through a lab. Spotlight lab sessions are 90 minutes, and due to limited seating, we recommend that you reserve a seat in advance.

In this lab, you learn how to use Amazon Elastic Container Service (Amazon ECS) to create task definitions from Docker containers, deploy tasks to the cluster, and update task definitions.
Migrate on-premises NFS using AWS DataSync and AWS Storage Gateway

In this lab, you set up AWS DataSync to attach to a simulated on-premises Network File System (NFS) server to migrate data from that server to Amazon S3. After the data is transferred, you remove the DataSync transfer service and install a file gateway configuration of Storage Gateway, which acts as the ongoing conduit between the on-premises NFS server and Amazon S3.
Optimize slow databases with Amazon Aurora

In this lab, you learn how to use Amazon Aurora and some of its features to improve database performance without adding costs or rewriting applications to support a NoSQL database.

Learn how to author your policies so that they support business requirements. In this lab, you’re given a set of business requirements that you need to enforce using policies on resources and roles. At the end of the lab, another attendee will test and validate your policies to make sure they address your requirements.

Monitor and debug an application using AWS X-Ray, Amazon CloudWatch metrics, Amazon CloudWatch Logs, and CloudWatch Logs Insights. Working in teams, use these tools to troubleshoot issues in a deployed lab.

Game Tech: Game hosting with Amazon GameLift

Join us for this combination of hands-on lab experience and presentation that enables you to understand what Amazon GameLift does and how it works. Upload an existing sample game, create a GameLift build, use the build to create a fleet, add a game session placement queue, and exercise the solution using CLI commands to simulate different game scenarios. Results will be visible graphically in the metrics tab of the GameLift dashboard.
Media services: Use AWS AI services to automate captioning & subtitling
