AWS and VMware are excited to give you an opportunity to give back to the community while you’re here at re:Invent. Take a few minutes out of your busy schedule to participate in the AWS VMware Dare to Care volunteer challenge. Come build a Clean the World hygiene kit for disaster victims of the recent hurricanes. Clean the World has been working to provide relief to victims of all three hurricanes by building and distributing disaster relief kits. Or build a student emergency kit for the American Red Cross Pillowcase Project. The American Red Cross develop The Pillowcase Project, a program that started in New Orleans, where students used pillowcases to carry their belongings during a hurricane emergency. Now the Red Cross is distributing pillowcases to children across the country and teaching them how to stay safe in a wide variety of emergency situations. The student emergency kits will to in the pillowcases and will be sent to children.

The AWS VMWare Dare to Care volunteer challenge is located in Venetian Level 2 Hall B. Come by on Wednesday, November 29 11:00am – 3:00pm to build Clean the World hygiene kits. Or come by on Thursday, November 30 11:00am - 3:00pm to build Red Cross student emergency kits.
