Shaown joined AWS five years ago and currently leads technology for AWS Global Sales. He and his worldwide team partner with a range of customers, from startups to large enterprises, to build innovative solutions that transform their businesses and industries. Prior to joining AWS, Shaown served as Chief Information Officer at Dow Jones and Head of Shared Services at News Corp, one of the first enterprise organizations to adopt cloud technology. As CIO, he spearheaded a shared service company called NewsTech to unify IT services across News Corp business units worldwide and drove over $100M in cost savings. Shaown has also worked as a global technology executive at IBM, where he managed product development teams in the cloud space. He has an MBA and a bachelor’s degree from Cornell University.

Ben leads a global team of solutions architects and customer solutions managers to enable digital transformation, new customer experiences, and business innovation outcomes for customers. He joined Amazon in 2017 and led the AWS Solutions Architecture team in Asia-Pacific and Japan until August 2023.

Nandini leads the monitoring and observability cloud services for AWS. For more than two decades, Nandini has been working to break down tech industry barriers and pioneer the design and development of visionary products and go-to-market strategies for industry-transforming startups and global organizations such as Twitter and Oracle. An innovator with 17 patents, she has been recognized as one of the most powerful female engineers by Business Insider, named one of the PharmaVoice 100, and is listed in the Hall of Femme honoring female luminaries.

David joined AWS in 2007 as a software developer based in Cape Town, South Africa, working on the early development of Amazon EC2—a web service that provides secure and resizable compute and networking capacity in the cloud. Over the past 15 years, he’s held several roles within Amazon EC2, shaping the service into what it is today. Prior to joining Amazon, David worked as a software developer within a financial industry startup.

Adam leads the teams that make it easier for builders to create applications on AWS. He has worked as a leader in the tech industry for more than 25 years in roles at Salesforce, Google, and Microsoft. Adam is passionate about democratizing technology and believes that every developer should have access to the same powerful tools and resources, regardless of their background or experience level.

G2 leads the teams responsible for AWS database services, including Amazon Aurora, Amazon DocumentDB, Amazon ElastiCache, AWS DMS, AWS Glue Data Catalog, AWS Lake Formation, Amazon Neptune, Amazon OpenSearch Service, Amazon RDS, Amazon Redshift, and Amazon Timestream. G2 brings two decades of experience in databases, big data analytics, and machine learning, having built various parts of the SQL Server database, Azure Analytics, and Azure ML at Microsoft. Prior to joining Amazon, G2 built and ran the analytics and machine learning platform at Facebook/Meta.

With more than 30 years of industry experience, Jeff is a thought leader in data modernization, transforming how organizations manage data in the cloud. Prior to his current role he was VP for Data at Amazon.com, CISO for Amazon.com, and VP/GM of Database/Platforms at Teradata. Jeff also serves as chairperson on the Council of Advisors for University of California San Diego Jacobs School of Engineering.

Scott is responsible for leading the development and execution of AWS strategic global initiatives in the financial services industry. He began his career as an equity trader and has worked in the industry for the past 26 years at firms such as Nasdaq, JPMorgan Chase, Merrill Lynch, and Penson Worldwide. Scott works closely with industry leaders, global regulators, and policy makers to transform the industry and evolve the technology that powers it. A graduate of Texas A&M University, Scott is a recognized thought leader who is quoted in industry media. He recently served on the advisory board of the FinTech Sandbox and on the US FDIC’s Subcommittee for Supervision Modernization.

Pasquale leads Amazon Connect, which has become one of the fastest growing services in AWS history and is used by Amazon customer service associates around the world to power millions of customer conversations. He has 20 years of experience in delivering world-class B2B and B2C products. Prior to Amazon Connect, Pasquale worked on machine learning, augmented reality, maps, and mobile. His specialties include operating SaaS at scale, delivering great customer experiences, exploring UX, and technology innovation.

Dan leads the AWS Healthcare and Life Sciences Industry Business Unit (HCLS IBU), which supports AWS customers in life sciences, medical devices, payors, data services, and healthcare ISVs and OEMs. The HCLS IBU helps customers leverage AWS cloud and machine learning services, as well as solutions from AWS Partners, to discover and develop new therapies, diagnostics, and devices and to deliver healthcare more efficiently with improved patient outcomes. Prior to joining AWS in 2019, Dan founded and led two digital health startups focused on telehealth and machine learning for chronic disease prevention and management.

At AWS, Samira champions diversity and leads a high-performing, multigenerational team of builders. For close to two decades, her work at AWS and Cisco, where she served as Director of Media Operations, led to strategic alignment and business transformations with some of the world’s largest entertainment companies. She has a proven track record in tech strategy, business development, and sales, focusing on introducing innovation and enhancing operational efficiency in the areas of content production, media supply chain, broadcast distribution, OTT, interactive experiences, and content monetization. Samira’s philanthropic work has always been a strong personal driver, and as a result she launched Bridge2Act in 2015, a venture focused on transforming the giving landscape through the use of technology. Passionate about advancing the status of women in technology, she is also a presence in media, tech, and the New York City-based entrepreneurial community, as well as throughout major nonprofits and social impact organizations.

Chris joined AWS in 2023 and leads the development and implementation of security policies with the aim of managing risk and aligning the company’s security posture with business objectives. He’s held security leadership roles at Apple, Capital One, Microsoft, and the National Security Agency. Chris is an alumnus of the U.S. Air Force Academy.

Dave leads government, education, healthcare, aerospace and satellite, and nonprofit businesses globally. Previously, Dave served for six years as the Vice President of US Government, Nonprofit, and Global Healthcare businesses at AWS. Before joining AWS, Dave worked for Apple Inc. for 12 years and led the teams that helped the government adopt innovative mobile technologies. In addition to his executive career, Dave co-founded and served as COO at Sulla, where he built a successful datacenter services company focused on higher education clients and state and local governments. Dave serves on the M Health Fairview Health System board in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and the Innovation and Research Board for Children’s National Medical Center in Washington, DC.

Andy leads a global team of engineers who build some of the largest data services at AWS, such as Amazon S3, which is used by millions of customers to run real-time analytics on their data and power their businesses. He has led storage integrations for AI/ML workloads, delivered new high-performance storage services, and reshaped the hardware and infrastructure layers of AWS storage systems. In 2023, Andy and his team also launched Amazon S3 Express One Zone, the world’s fastest cloud object store for request-intensive operations like data analytics and generative AI. Andy has over one hundred patents and research publications and his work has over 20,000 citations. He was the recipient of the SIGOPS Hall of Fame Award which recognizes the most influential Operating Systems papers. He holds a PhD from the University of Cambridge and was a professor at the University of British Columbia, where he was awarded a Canada Research Chair and a Sloan Research Fellowship.
