Will you be providing translation services?

Onsite translation services in Chinese, Korean, and Japanese will be provided for Keynotes. Korean and Japanese translation will be provided for Executive Summits. ‘How To’ flyers will be available at these events, instructing attendees on how to use translation services. Two options are available for translation - The Hearing Hotspot App can be downloaded from your smartphone/device. RF Headsets will be available for pick up, when entering sessions.

Will there be Wi-Fi available?

There is campus Wi-Fi available inside all conference venues. The Wi-Fi network and password info is prominently displayed throughout the event. In order to maintain high performance in all conference areas, re:Invent Wi-Fi operates exclusively on the 5GHz Wi-Fi band and supports applications including email, web browsing, social media, messaging, and VPN access. Multiple AWS Direct Connect connections provide dedicated bandwidth and a consistent experience when connecting to the AWS Regions for all re:Invent attendees. Please contact the nearest Information Desk for assistance with any network questions.

Can I bring a guest to the after-hours activities?

We have a limited number of passes available for the re:Play party only, which takes place November 29, from 7PM to 1AM. You can purchase them for $300 each when you register. You must hold a full conference pass in order to purchase a guest pass for re:Play. Your guest must be at least 21 years of age as of November 29, 2018. Full conference pass holders can purchase one guest pass only.

Is there an age requirement to attend re:Invent (including the re:Play Party)?

Yes. You must be at least 21 years of age as of November 26, 2018, and any guest you bring to the re:Play Party must be at least 21 years of age as of November 29, 2018.

What is the AWS re:Invent code of conduct?

AWS firmly believes in the value and importance of an environment where all event participants feel welcome and safe. The AWS Events Code of Conduct explains what type of behavior we expect from event participants. The terms of this Code of Conduct are non-negotiable. We will not tolerate behavior that runs counter to this Code of Conduct.

AWS expects all re:Invent participants (including AWS employees, attendees, vendors, sponsors, speakers, volunteers, and guests) to uphold the principles of the AWS Events Code of Conduct. This Code of Conduct covers the main event and all related events (social or otherwise). Amazon employees attending events must continue to abide by all company policies at all times.

If we believe that you are not complying with this Code of Conduct, we may deny you entry or require you to leave all event venue(s). All determinations are at our sole discretion. We will involve local law enforcement if we deem appropriate.

Are you live streaming the keynotes or any sessions?

Join us from the comfort of your home or office. More details about livestream can be found here. Live English closed captioning will be available for all four keynote livestreams.

I reserved a seat in a session, am I all set?

Yes! Please be sure to arrive to your session at least 10 minutes before it starts. Your seat will be opened up to walk up attendees if you are not scanned into the session at least 10 minutes before the session start time.

The Mother’s Room is designed and used only for the purpose of providing a lactating mother with a private, secure space to breastfeed or express breast milk for her nursing child. The room is to be used solely by female customers who are in their breastfeeding stage. The room is equipped with a private area, power strip, comfortable chair, counter space, sterile wipes, and cold packs. Refrigerators and other means of storing milk are not provided.

Campus Shuttle

Will transportation be offered?

Yes! We will provide a shuttle to easily transport you around the re:Invent campus. Your re:Invent badge is required to ride campus shuttles. Please visit the transportation page for more information. We are not able to provide ground transportation to or from the airport.

Will you offer shuttles to and from the airport?

No, we will not. You need to arrange your own transportation to and from the airport. Follow this link for details.

Where do the shuttles go?

The campus shuttles run continuously, on direct routes, to and from our campus venues - ARIA, Bellagio, Encore, MGM, Mirage, The Venetian, and the re:Play venue – as posted on the schedule. Plan ahead for peak travel times before and after major events, such as Midnight Madness, meals, Welcome Reception, Keynotes, Pub Crawl, and re:Play. Refer to our shuttle schedule for start and stop times.

Will the shuttles run from the hotel at which I am staying?

The majority of hotels in our room blocks are within walking distance of one of the shuttle stops. This enables you to stay at the property of your choice and easily access the campus shuttle. Please refer to the transportation page for shuttle stop locations.

How often do the shuttles run?

The shuttles run continuously throughout the day, during re:Invent programming. Refer to the schedule for daily campus shuttle hours.

How long will I be on a shuttle?

Please allow a minimum of 30 minutes to travel between campus venues. This timing is approximate and can be impacted by campus shuttle demand.

Where do I pick up the shuttle?

Locations vary slightly from venue to venue, check the transportation page for shuttle stop locations.

Will shuttles run for Midnight Madness? The keynotes? The re:Play party?

Yes! We want you to get to these special events, and we have extra campus shuttles scheduled just to make sure that you can. These shuttles will transport you directly from your stop to the venue that is hosting the special event. Check the transportation page for hours of operations.

Will shuttles be available early for the 4K/8K run?

Yes! Campus shuttle routes to and from the Mirage begin at 5 AM on Tuesday, Nov. 27 for 4K/8K runners. Runners should refer to their reminder email for additional details.

Besides shuttles, are there other ways to get to the re:Play party?

Yes! From 7:30PM to 12:30AM we are offering free rides on the Las Vegas Monorail to and from re:Play. The Las Vegas Monorail has seven stations along the Las Vegas Strip: MGM Grand, Bally’s/Paris, Flamingo/Caesars Palace, Harrah’s/LINQ, Las Vegas Convention Center, Westgate, and the SLS. See the route map for more details.

In addition to shuttles, the monorail, and rideshare, there will be a walking route from Encore (21 minutes), Mirage (35 minutes) and The Venetian (34 minutes).

What if I have more shuttle questions?

We have a Campus Shuttle Information Desk and/or staff at each shuttle venue adjacent to the route stop. Our ambassadors will happily answer any additional questions you have.

What if I left something on a shuttle bus?

Left items will remain at the Campus Shuttle Information Desk (at the pickup/drop off location) until the end of the day’s shuttle operating hours. After the shuttle service ends, all remaining lost and found items will be transferred to hotel security.

Is there accessible shuttle service?

Yes there is! Accessible shuttles are provided to those with limited mobility. Prior to Sunday, Nov. 25, contact the re:Invent support team to arrange transfers. Beginning at noon on Sunday, Nov.25, you can contact the transportation team directly at + 1-619-921-0173.

Do rideshare companies operate in Las Vegas?

Both Uber and Lyft operate in Las Vegas. Each hotel has designated pick-up and drop-off locations. Taxis are also available at each hotel.

Safety and Security

What are you doing to keep us safe?

The safety and security of attendees joining us for re:Invent is always a top priority. We have a substantial security team that partners with local, state, and federal agencies on the ground ‎in Las Vegas—as well as with security from our conference venues. We continually re-evaluate our security posture and response plans in light of emerging threats.

Why are we going through additional security measures?

The additional security measures are a reasonable precautionary measure for the safety and security of all re:Invent attendees. These measures allow security personnel to quickly identify potential safety concerns in the least intrusive manner while maintaining an enjoyable conference.

Please note that while on re:Invent campus grounds, you and your belongings may be subject to random search. We may ask you to leave the re:Invent campus grounds if your behavior causes us concern for the safety or security of other attendees.

Will backpacks and other bags be allowed at re:Invent?

Yes, with the exception of the re:Play party. See below.

Can I bring a backpack or bag into the re:Play party?

No backpacks or large bags will be allowed at the re:Play party. Only one small bag or wallet per person is allowed. The bag or wallet cannot exceed 4.5” by 6.5”, with or without a handle/strap.


Why do I need to provide my photo?

Your photo will be printed on your re:Invent badge. We are adding this as an additional security measure to prevent unauthorized badge usage.

How do I upload my photo?

Complete your registration, and then click “Upload Badge Photo” on the confirmation page. Select the option to upload a file from your computer. Click “Upload File” to save the photo that you have imported, making sure there are no spaces in the file name. Your photo will appear in the preview area. From there, you can re-upload the photo. Finally, click “Verify” to return to the My Account page.

How do I add a photo to my account if I have already registered?

Log in to your account through My Portal. Select “Registration” to enter the registration portal. On the My Account page in the registration portal, select “Upload Badge Photo.” You will then be prompted to upload a file from your computer. Click “Upload File” to save the photo that you have imported, making sure there are no spaces in the file name. Your photo will appear in the preview area. From there, you can re-upload the photo. Finally, click “Verify” to return to the My Account page.

What is AWS re:Invent?

AWS re:Invent is a learning conference hosted by Amazon Web Services for the global cloud computing community. The event features keynote announcements, training and certification opportunities, access to more than 2,000 technical sessions, a partner expo, after-hours events, and so much more.

The event is ideal for developers and engineers, system administrators, systems architects, and technical decision makers.

What is included in the full conference pass?

The full conference pass gives you access to all keynotes and sessions, hands-on labs, re:Invent Expo, the Quad, and the Developer Lounge, plus the Welcome Reception, Pub Crawl, and the re:Play party, as well as breakfast, lunch, and snacks on main conference days.

How do I register?

Registration for AWS re:Invent opens on May 15 at 10AM (PT). Click “New Registration” to start the registration process. A valid credit card is required to purchase a conference pass, or you can choose to pay with Amazon Pay. Please note, you must be 21 years or older to register for the AWS re:Invent conference.

I received a discount promotion code. How do I apply it to my registration?

If you have a registration code, please log in here to enter it and register for re:Invent.

How do I purchase multiple group passes?

You can purchase up to 75 group passes at a time by selecting the group ticket option when you register.

How do I redeem my group passes?

After purchasing a group pass, you will receive a confirmation email that includes a unique registration code. This code will be valid for all purchased group passes and may be used multiple times until all your passes have been redeemed. For example, if you purchased 10 passes, the registration code will be valid for 10 uses. Share this unique registration code with your colleagues, and ask them to register here. They should click “Yes” when asked if they have a code and enter the registration code at that time. This will remove any costs associated with the purchase of a full conference pass. You are not registered to attend AWS re:Invent until you have redeemed your registration code.

Can I purchase multiple conference passes and have them invoiced to my AWS account?

Yes. Please email with your AWS account ID and the number of passes you want to purchase. We will do our best to accommodate your needs.

How can I sign up for a training bootcamp if I am already registered for the conference?

Log in to your AWS re:Invent account with the credentials you created during registration, and click “Purchase Additional Registration Items” or stop by one of the onsite Help Desks. You will need a valid credit card to add a bootcamp to your registration. Seats in training bootcamps are limited.

How do I update my registration information?

To view or make changes to your registration details, log in to your account on this page. Click the “Edit Contact Info” section to edit your personal information.

Can I get a receipt for my registration?

Upon completing the online registration process, you will be sent a confirmation email with payment receipt details from Be sure to check your junk mail folder if you don’t see an email in your inbox. Charges will appear on your credit card statement as “ACT*AWS re:Invent 2018.” If you do not receive the confirmation email, you can print your invoice by logging into your account here. Click “Registration,” then scroll down and click the printer icon next to the item for which you need the invoice.

What is your cancellation policy?

You may cancel your event registration by sending a written notice to AWS by email to If AWS receives your cancellation notice by 12 noon (PT), September 5, 2018, you will be issued a full refund of registration fees minus a cancellation fee via the original payment method. The cancellation fee for a full conference pass is $100, and the cancellation fee for certifications or bootcamps is $50. If AWS receives your cancellation notice by 12 noon (PT), between September 5, 2018 and November 1, 2018, AWS will issue you a 50% refund of registration fees via the original payment method. If AWS receives your cancellation notice after 12 noon (PT), November 1, 2018, you will not be eligible for a refund. Are there day passes available?

Why is there a bar code on the email confirming my registration?

A bar code has been placed on your registration confirmation email to help simplify and expedite your check-in when you arrive at re:Invent.
