The saga of Unicorn.Rentals continues! AWS GameDay is a collaborative learning exercise that tests skills in implementing AWS solutions to solve real-world problems in a gamified, risk-free environment. This is a completely interactive opportunity for technical professionals to explore AWS services, architecture patterns, best practices, and group cooperation under minimal guidance. You will be placed in teams of four to support our “famous” (fictitious) startup, Unicorn.Rentals, currently struggling to operate and keep up with the growing demand. You can expect a wide variety of technical challenges related to AI/ML, data consolidation, data stream processing, security, IoT, and more. Laptops are required.

AWS GameDay Quest Fest allows you to experiment with the GameDay content of your choice at your own pace. Unlike our traditional GameDay events, you do not have to participate in a team. The environment is relaxed and non-competitive, which provides more flexibility for you to target quests that focus on your areas of interest, network with other attendees, and meet the GameDay team. Laptops are required.

In this Jam, we provide the incident response scenarios and you team up with others to learn new skills and practice current ones against a set of simulated security incidents. Can you identify what caused the blues? What would you do differently? How can you architect multiple AWS services to prevent the blues from happening again? New to AWS or security? Or an expert in both? Come and join us! AWS experts, plus guided exercises, will help ramp up your security knowledge. All you need to bring is your desire to learn and a laptop.

How can you architect multiple AWS services together to improve it? Whether you’re new to AWS or a cloud pro, come and join the Jam to demonstrate your existing skills while learning new ones. Having the correct data is only part of the answer to the problem. Knowing how to use AWS services to gain the value out of the data is the real solution. In this Jam, you are presented with different real-world scenarios that will require your team to use different AWS services to figure out the correct answers. Do you know the difference between SQL and NoSQL? Are you already an expert using Amazon SageMaker or new to it? Clues and AWS experts are available to further help you ramp up your analytics skills. All you need to bring is your desire to learn and a laptop.

The AWS Jam Lounge runs from Monday through Thursday with new challenges launched daily. There are scenarios for you to solve around security, application modernization, DevOps, data analytics, AI/ML, and many more topics. All scenarios are based off real-world situations, so come validate the skills you have while learning new ones along the way. A live leaderboard provides updates on stats and progress.
