Attendee guide: Sustainability

This guide, from AWS Community Hero Rolf Koski, is for AWS re:Invent attendees who are looking to deepen their knowledge about sustainability and environmental, social, and governance (ESG) topics, and how the AWS Cloud can offer tangible help in resolving challenges and reaching your ESG goals.

Rolf Koski

I am an AWS Community Hero and AWS Ambassador representing Nordics and Finland. I am an organizer in multiple Nordic user groups and an establishing member of AWS Community Day Nordics. I work as VP of Technology at AWS Partner Knowit and am responsible for our cloud offerings portfolio, including sustainability-focused offerings.

Today, sustainability is a more important topic than ever and it continually impacts us—and  will continue to do so for decades to come. Changes in regulation and compliance are enforcing this evolution for every organization eventually. And sustainability is not only about environment, but also about social aspects and good governance.

My intention is to offer you different aspects and perspectives on how to increase your knowledge in the ESG domain and how to utilize AWS services to optimize and transform your business to reach the ESG targets.

As much it is about doing things right, in this context, it is also about doing the right thing.
